Marietta is a
city in Love County Oklahoma. County seat of Love County. The city was
named after Marietta Pennsylvania. The City is rich in historical
buildings, one being the old Federal Courthouse which now houses City Hall.
The City has four parks located in each section of the City. Marietta has
several recreational areas, Lake Murray is located 10 miles Northeast of the
City and Lake Texhoma is located 20 miles East of the City. Falconhead
located 11 miles West of the City is home to a 18 hole championship golf
course. The Chickasaw Nation Win Star Casino is located 14 miles South of
the City.
